Dr. Erica Curtis is a post-doctoral clinician providing humanistic-based psychotherapy to adults of any age who are contending with anxiety, mood disorders, and challenges related to interpersonal relationships, job dissatisfaction, stress, grief, negative past experiences, or health. Erica holds a Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, a M.A. in Health Psychology, and a B.A. in Psychology. She also has certifications in Health Coaching, Positive Psychology, and Transpersonal Psychology.
Erica takes an eclectic approach to therapy, using elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Psychotherapy, and Positive Psychology. She helps individuals focus on their strengths and resilience rather than any perceived weaknesses. Erica believes in a collaborative approach that encourages individuals to connect with their authentic, unique selves, live in accordance with personal values, and discover meaning and purpose. She provides a safe, confidential, down-to-earth, and compassionate environment that is free from judgment while also being direct and challenging individuals to identify thoughts and behaviors that are counterproductive to growth. Ultimately, she finds fulfillment in helping individuals cultivate self-compassion, recognize their inner strength, let go of what does not serve them, and live authentically.
